Artisan Story
Minga Fair Trade Imports works with Juan and Luz who began their business 20 years ago with only one weaving machine. At first they only made fabrics, but eventually they began turning their fabric into hammocks. Ten years ago they opened their own shop in Otavalo, and they now have four machines. The additional machines have improved their production capacity dramatically; they have grown from a strictly local business to exporting to Costa Rica, Puerto Rico, Panama, Curacao, the Caiman Islands, Canada, Spain and the United States.

Villages Port Colborne is located along the shore of the Niagara Peninsula. Where the Welland Canal and Lake Erie meet, in the heart of Port Colborne, we have been fair trade since 1984.
