Artisan Story
PamPeana is based in Oregon and works with artisans in Ecuador. Their focus is to work with individuals of lower education and economic resources providing opportunities that allow them to have a more stable environment and help them move from a position of vulnerability to one of security and economic self-sufficiency. PamPeana aims to empower these individuals by encouraging them to become stakeholders in their own organizations and to actively play a wider role in the design and development of handcrafted products. PamPeana works with recycled and renewable materials that allow us to have little or no impact on the environment
