Artisan Story:

Johra & Bohra Handicrafts, a fair trade partnership, provides steady work and fair wages to skilled artisans who create exquisite wrapped wire products, including our popular Snowmen, Birds, and Angels. Founded by Khalil Ahmed and his three brothers out of necessity, the business has grown and now employs 10 people, running their own workshop. In partnership with a local NGO, they ensure artisans are paid fairly and work in good conditions.

The Making Process: The creation of our Silver Wrapped Wire Birds starts with a metal frame, which is carefully soldered together by the artisans. Once the frame design is approved, they skillfully wrap the wire around the form, creating the shape and final product. Each bird can be dipped in various colors to produce vibrant pieces of decor!
